File Shredder is a useful utility that lets you securely erase the contents of sensitive files and folders from your computer beyond recovery.

When you delete a file from Windows, Windows just mark the file as deleted in File Allocation Table, no data is changed or overwritten and the file's contents will still exist on your computer, there are many tools available which can let others easily recover your sensitive files. File Shredder completely overwrites the contents of the file and then deletes it, so an undelete program will never be able to recover it. To shred files or folders just simply drag & drop them to the list of File Shredder in the same way you would the Recycle Bin.
